Need Advice - Release Impact During Maternity Leaves
Hi All, I am on my maternity leave currently with first child and my allocation in the project has ended. I have worked in this account for almost 3 years. Now I am getting deallocation emails from Ultimatix saying to get allocated or else it will impact my deployment index!! Though my maternity leaves have just started, I am getting calls for interviews from different accounts. Now I am very confused and wanted to know will this have any impact on my salary ? Will I be laid off as I am deallocated now even though I am on maternity leave?? Please share your experience and thoughts, it will be very kind of you.
Even though Maternity Leave is protected by The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017, I think you know right sister that how laws work in India.
Technically & legally, TCS can’t touch your salary when you are on Maternity Leave and they can’t fire you. But, we know better than that to trust Indian law enforcement!!
There are already few reports that TCS fired employees on Maternity Leaves. So, I suggest you start finding a backup rather than trusting this immoral company or at least have a talk with the HR.
Thanks for your reply pal. It is surprising to know that TCS is firing people who are on maternity leaves! May not be in through detail but I know how practical Indian laws are for pregnant women but at the same time we know how are systems work..I never thought of having backup but will take care of the points you mentioned..Thank you, it is much helpful 🙂
Bro stfu TCS has never fired anyone in maternity leaves. Braindead folks like you are the reason why panic is created.
Yes, TCS will release employees who are on maternity Leave, and even it happened to me during my first and second pregnancy as well. Starting u will get project calls also, just inform them as u r on maternity leave. And also u inform RMG that u r on maternity leave so they will put on hold for project call during maternity leave.

Don't worry.. it could be that projects are not allowed these days to hold people for long.. so maybe that's the reason they released you.. they won't fire when on ML. how long is ML remaining?
