Trending @Infosys; Need a Suggestion

So I had plans to take subbatical leave since past 5-6 months as I will have to travel to another country. MeanwhileI was also looking for an onsite opportunity so it would be easier for me & I will not have to go for subbatical plan. So I have already given the heads up to my manager & GPM regarding my onsite aspiration or subbatical leave. But now the thing is when I asked them for a subbatical approval, they are saying that just wait for 3 more months & we will initiate your visa for Australia. But my profile is different and the opportunity they are offering me is for different profile so I have to upskill myself. That’s also not an issue but as I have already informed them 5-6 months back still they couldn’t find any on-site opportunity but now they are asking me to extend my plan as they couldn’t find any replacement for project that I am working on. they mentioned that we are not able to find any replacement so if you could stay back for some time like 3 months & meanwhile we can also initiate your visa. I was about to take leave by next month but now they are just asking me to wait for a while. I had plans to travel to different country as my spouse is working there but they don’t have any opportunity in that country so they are offering a nearby country. What should I do? Should I wait for Australia visa or should I go ahead and take subbatical leave and travel to different country as I have thoughts like my company is asking me to stay back till they get my replacement in project. Plz suggest me something. Thanks and sorry for a long post!
