Need a career suggesttion
2+ years in a java developer role. I couldn't figure out if I should pursue this or try another field. Is it a phase every developer faces or not . Please suggest
I have total 15 years with Java, Python, Angular and complete full stack along with cloud etc. But the problem I am now seeing is ,interviewers are not enough with whatever we have. Example: some asks deep into Java and spring like how internal works which library used etc And if we pass that they go for either frontend very deep questions about syntaxes or devops work upto command line syntax level. Basically they want developer like us to be good in everything mentioned in job description. On the other hand I am seeing for devops people its OK if they are good in devops or nowadays these data scientist, they hardly know system architecture but its still ok until they know about RAG and LLM. Even data analytics people who just use power BI or Cognos who we never considered as developers are in demand now and called as Data Architects. I don't know whether its an AI bubble or not. So as you still young I would suggest to switch to either devops or Data scientist if possible, because now as developers we spend our time in just learning all these techs or practicing leetcode only.
