Need a career Advice
Hi 👋, I joined Infosys in June last year after 2.5 yrs at Wipro. MY Cute CTC is 8.9 Lpa at infy. Recently I had received an offer from TCS for 11 LPA. Looking at the hikes my colleagues have received it'll take atleast 2 yrs for me to reach 11 LPA at Infosys.
Shall I take up the offer and join TCS? My over-all experience is just 3 yrs and 3 month's or should I work at Infosys for one more year then move out ? I am not at all happy with my current role, they put me in a stupid support team

Put the resignation and use the 3 months notice period to find a better offer than TCS try for 13 - 15 lpa. You can bargain in the next company with your existing tcs offer. My suggestion is to find a product based company

Unfortunately I work in ERP, it's very hard to find jobs especially in Oracle ERP. That's the biggest let down of my current field

If you want better pay, switching is the better option, do some research on the companies hiring for your field, you have better chances of HRs responding to you when you are nearing your notice period.

I would suggest do not join TCS as I have seen many people hired for some role but then pushed to projects which is not related to their job profile as they have many projects. This may lead to frustration. Also, the appraisal is not good in TCS. Anyways, all the best for your decision.

I'm so confused. Currently I'm working in a support project. There's nothing to learn in the team. I'm so bored and disappointed with myself. Currently I'm having associate consultant role at Infosys for 3.2 yrs of experience but tcs giving me systems engineer grace c1 role 😅😅. I'm so confused to accept the offer or not

Don’t join TCS. Your hike is peanuts. If you can, find a better company that will pay minimum 15 LPA.

I'm in talks with Capgemini but they're also offering only 11.5 LPA as I've only 3.3 yrs of experience. Coming to hike, even here at Infosys the hike is just 6% unless you receive an outstanding rating then you might get 15-20% but the percentage of people getting that rating is very very minimal

11 LPA is dream package for me. take it.

You are getting a considerable hike considering your current experience is close to 3.2 years , considering you will drop papers in April ( overall YOE would be close to 3.5 years . You can take TCS offer letter and take counter on it from other organisations but they would also play close to 11 .5 /12.5 lpa , It up to you , you can ask for more as 14 lpa (say 50% hike )depends on your negotiation and confidence skills .
Also remember which ever organisations you join remember to have job stability, at least 2 years on it . People tend to switch frequently. It gets little difficult convert offers later ..
All the best 🥂😊

Go for it
