"Navigating Salary Growth: A Professional's Journey at TCS"

"I am currently employed as a developer at TCS, despite having a BCS degree. However, I find the salary offered by TCS to be inadequate. Initially, during my training in Chennai, I received a salary of 13k. Subsequently, upon relocation to Delhi, my salary was increased to 16k. However, upon my recent transfer to Pune, my salary has been reduced back to 13k. I have been with TCS for approximately 9 months. I seek advice on how to swiftly enhance my salary as it is challenging to sustain myself on the current remuneration."

But is it worth the switch in the current situation? I mean, I still don't have that much experience and I don't have the knowledge of how to switch. And the difficulty level of digital has increased a lot now.

I have 10 months of work experience at TCS. No learning in TCS . Do you guys suggest waiting for at least 2 years before switching? Should I work on my DSA and some technology in the meantime?

What technology do you guys suggest? @CountBaldor @BugBunny @Canok

Bro I'll suggest switch asap but if you get time start polishing your skills from DSA to development in your preferred tech stack. Btw what's your tech stack??

Get any certification and switch .. like cyber security , Sap etc .. caz for coding , people will seek engineering.. and may be it’s better to stay back one more year … skill up in that time and then switch .. even if you switch now .. you might not see much growth

Thanks, it's really helpful for me ☺️

But don’t get comfortable with TCS and your salary ,, you should have a burning zeal to climb up the ladder .. staying back is just to skill up .. not to rest

As this is your initial IT phase, choose a future proof and demanding technology to build your foundation. In the mean time you can do project work and give wings digital. If cleared within the time you wanted then good else with the learnt skill you can switch to find better opportunities. But don't quit without any offers in hand. Just a suggestion.

Patience bro.. focus on learning things… my friend focused on learning and after 3 years he has received packages of 30 LPA.

Work in terms of 3-5-10 years goals

You can switch bro, If you really want to grow. Staying here it's a very rare chance you grow. So better start preparing soon and try for switch once you start preparing you yourself come to know how to switch. I m also trying you also try. Only way to grow
