Trending @Wipro; My sad promotion story - Still fighting

I’ve been asking my manager for a promotion from past three months and he did nominate me for it 👌

But the sad thing is, as I have 3 stars in every appraisal even though my performance has been quite good enough, my promotion got declined by the higher management 🙂

The reason is, I at-least need one 4 star rating in an appraisal to get preferred for promotion.

Now again, my manager approached me and explained me that this is the reason why I didn’t got promoted.

My question to my manager is, you’ve been seeing my performance since my joining in this project. I joined in as a fresher and gave my everything to the project and still I got 3 star in three appraisals. I didn’t even question about it. I thought things will be like this in corporate. ☹️

But, I’m getting to know now that this is all internal politics. I’m literally fed up and losing interest to work anymore. Damn. I feel bad about myself. 🙂👍

Try to switch bro even promotion will give a 10% hike. How much effort you are putting to get promoted same you can try to prepare for interview and switch. Same thing happened with me untill I get the offer from outside they have not given me any promotion

I guess that’s the hard reality of these corporate companies. They don’t recognise or value a hard working employee until or unless he/she blackmails that they going to resign. Damn bro. This is really bad 😢

Want to hear story?

  1. joined first company as almost fresher(8 month experience) , company gave training to employee, he worked really hard initially , worked for 12hours a day , after office spend 4-5 hours in learning and solving queries finally 5months of hardworking and he was able to receive multiple appreciations from.client. started at 4lpa in 5 month got appraisa(performance based for freshers)l and got 6lpa after 6month got annual appraisal, revised ctc 8lpa in another 6 month got another performance based appraisal and now got 11lpa, in 1.5 years from 4 to 11 lpa , he feels this is the best company and he will stay here for ever , next 1.5years no appraisal then got another one and now it's 12.65lpa but now he don't feel important or appreciated and joined wipro at 25lpa. This is me. Never thought of leaving 1st company because so good hike and learning opportunity but wipro gave me better everything, environment and pay, moral- company is not your family think of yourself if you feel ,you worked hard and can justify it , other company will appreciate you even better.
  2. HR - moved from hr to development , from 11lakhs got a offer of 27 lakhs with just 3 yoe from deloitte but after joining resigned within 5months and joined another company at 17lpa, she is my friends gf. Moral - sometimes your worked hard and achive something but at end you will realise it is not worth it, money is everything but stil mental peace and satisfaction from.work is something that cannot be compensated , if you feels like you are satisfied but lacks money then swich and if you feel you are not satisfied then swich , in both case you have to justify yourself in new company and if you did they will give you what you want but with lot of responsibilities. Since you have spend 3 years here for them you are not important anymore

Put paper

I thought of this too. But, if I put papers now, and my manager doesn’t want to retain me back anymore then all of my hard work will be wasted which I did for the past two years. It’s gonna be a black hole for me.

There are no projects within Wipro, I’m sure I won’t get an offer right after I put in my papers. I would literally be cooked then. LOL. Correct me if I’m wrong.
