If you’re going over 9+ hours, keep track of it each and every time and ask for compensation either in the form of comp-off or extra pay! Don’t do it for free at all.
No extra pay and hr will not agree for extra pay for extra hours as its clearly mention in hr policies, bussiness need to compansate it in appropriate form, which never happens. So dont do any extra hours at all, make sure to fulfill your assigned hours, per day 9 hours and if overtime is compasated with pay then should not cross 12 hours in a day. Its labour law. Tcs has 6 days working as registered with labour department, keep it in mind too, as we are taking 2 weekoff every week.

See there is compliance hr for tcs who is always need to provide details to labour department, once you take it on mail, go to labour office and show it to labour officer, no one will ask post that about your 9 hours even. I have labour officers number with me, given by labour officer in front of tcs compliance hr, and he was like yes, yes please take his and mine too, for any issues always reach me. Even post that compliance hr pinned labour law policies, payscale disclosure on clients notice board.
