My manager is racist, what can I do?
My manager is from bangalore and i have worked with them only for 6 months. I have noticed they are very partial with me (i am from north)
He is very lively and friendly with other teammates from the same region, but with me and another friend, he literally talks in a very cold manner. And is least helpful, like he does not want us to grow
Example: If I will ask doubts of clarification, he will sometimes just start shouting at me. While other colleagues even if they have to make excuses for work, he is chill.
I am trying to not let this affect my work but unfortunately it is, and I am feeling alone.
Any suggestions? Anybody else faces this?
I expireinced the same I am from south but the manager was from north India, he used to bully me in the daily calls in front of other colleagues. I still remember I even had sleepless nights because of that and thought several times to leave organisation. But hold tight you will get there. But don’t treat others as they treated you spread kindness.
Next time he shouts at you remember 2 things.
First start recording that meeting in the beginning itself. Then record his misbehaving attitude
Second inform your regional HR about the same.
Third, if you are correct then tame down your voice when you keep your points.

I am also from the north my whole team is from South, I haven't thrown this kind behaviour to any of them. Infact manager itself from South he used to treat everyone same.

I too experienced the same . I was working from bangalore and only 2-3 north Indians in the team. I have now moved to Delhi.
Just tell him that Hindi is the national language of India.
Regional bias is very prevalent especially between north and south
First report this to HR, discuss about some solution
I have experienced the same. My team mate provided me with the wrong information. Plus, every task he told me that the task is supposed to complete within time. Even task is completed on time he finds some other things like: office hours, etc. right now, I have stopped working as shadow development.
Aap North se ho still feeling alone vo south south khel rahe toh aap bhi north north khelo na. Who is stopping you?
