There was a phase in my career when things were really tough. I was working as a Senior Java Developer at Wipro, giving my 100% every single day. My performance was good, the work was solid — but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Despite doing well technically, I found myself constantly criticized and misunderstood. My scrum master would keep pinging me the whole day trying to understand every little detail, and even though I tried my best to explain things patiently, it often turned into stress instead of collaboration.

The situation kept worsening — unnecessary scolding, pressure from management, and no understanding of the actual work we developers were doing. Slowly, it started affecting my health — I developed high BP, sugar, and anxiety. Even when I had medical certificates, taking a single leave meant facing more scolding and mental pressure.

Finally, I decided enough is enough. I resigned without having another offer — one of the toughest decisions of my life. But I knew peace of mind was more valuable than any job title.

And you know what? After a while, I got an offer from a product-based company — and everything changed. Here, people value my work, they listen, they appreciate, and most importantly — I work with mental peace and respect.

✨ Lesson learned: Never let any workplace steal your peace or self-worth. Your skills and effort deserve to be respected — and the right company will recognise your value.
