Trending @Accenture; My HR is the worst

I am currently serving my notice period and working at 0.5 FTE on a project and 0.5 FTE on the bench. I requested my manager for an early release by 1 day (serving 89 days instead of 90), and he agreed since I am already partially on the bench. However, my HR did not approve it. Initially, she was not responding to my messages or emails, and when she finally did, she declined my request despite me explaining the situation and mentioning my manager’s approval. I fail to understand why a 1-day early release is such an issue—is it really too much to ask for? Could you please suggest how I should handle this?

For one day you didn’t even needed to ask unless you are planning to join new organization

You could simply take leave and complete formality one day earlier

That’s the issue, my LWD and joining date is clashing

Then there no point in fighting out, lets ask new emploer that you will join a day late , new employer will understand and change, no one likes candidate not joining, they will have to restart process again in case you don't join

Make sure take all confirmation in mail

Yeah that's why that person is working in HR they are the worst, it's like no one listens to them in their home so they behave like this to employees

Not only yours. Most of the HRs in Accenture are a waste. There r very few that I have come across who genuinely care about employees and understand the situation. Its better if you can ask the new org to delay the joining date by a day- that should not be a problem
