🚨 Coding Ninjas Placements Scam– A Cautionary Tale 🚨
In January 2023, I enrolled in a 9-month Bootcamp MERN Stack Development course with Coding Ninjas, investing ₹1.5 lakh (with education loan interest). I completed the course on time, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing due to false promises and poor support. Here’s a breakdown of my journey:
Issues with the Course Content
1️⃣ The course content wasn’t worth ₹1.5 lakh: – especially the Node.js and JavaScript lectures, which were outdated at the time when I joined.
2️⃣ Modules were excessively lengthy, making it difficult to complete them within the stipulated 9 months.
False Promises During Admission:
Coding Ninjas counselor Richard Daniel made promises that turned out to be deceptive:
1️⃣ Placement Support:– They claimed I’d get placement support after completing 3 skill tags (DSA, Frontend, React.js). Since January 2024, I’ve applied to 720+ companies through their portal, yet I rarely receive updates. Most replies are excuses like “process closed” or “no update from the hiring team.”
2️⃣ Minimum 8 LPA Job Promise:– They assured an 8 LPA fresher job post-course. However, most opportunities in their portal offer 3-4 LPA, not the promised 8 LPA.
3️⃣ Product-Based Companies’ Placements:– They marketed the course as a pathway to top product-based companies. The reality? No substantial internship or fresher job support.
4️⃣ Refund Guarantee:– I signed an agreement stating I’d get a refund if not placed within 21 months. Now that I’m eligible for a refund, they’ve stopped answering my calls and are making endless excuses.
Impact on My Life:
I even quit my job to focus on this course, trusting their promises. It turned out to be a terrible decision, wasting my time, money, and effort. I feel trapped by their fraudulent practices.
Advice to Others:
For those considering this program, especially if you come from a non-tech background like me, proceed with caution. There are free, high-quality resources on YouTube like Akshay Saini 🚀 that provide more value I watched his Namaste JavaScript series for interview preparation.
Call to Action:
As per the agreement, I’m eligible for a refund and demanding accountability from Coding Ninjas. To my fellow batchmates facing similar issues, I encourage you to share your experiences in the comments. Let’s make our voices heard and hold them accountable for their promises. It feels like a marketing company instead of an edtech.
