đ¨ Coding Ninjas Placements Scamâ A Cautionary Tale đ¨
In January 2023, I enrolled in a 9-month Bootcamp MERN Stack Development course with Coding Ninjas, investing âš1.5 lakh (with education loan interest). I completed the course on time, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing due to false promises and poor support. Hereâs a breakdown of my journey:
Issues with the Course Content
1ď¸âŁ The course content wasnât worth âš1.5 lakh: â especially the Node.js and JavaScript lectures, which were outdated at the time when I joined.
2ď¸âŁ Modules were excessively lengthy, making it difficult to complete them within the stipulated 9 months.
False Promises During Admission:
Coding Ninjas counselor Richard Daniel made promises that turned out to be deceptive:
1ď¸âŁ Placement Support:â They claimed Iâd get placement support after completing 3 skill tags (DSA, Frontend, React.js). Since January 2024, Iâve applied to 720+ companies through their portal, yet I rarely receive updates. Most replies are excuses like âprocess closedâ or âno update from the hiring team.â
2ď¸âŁ Minimum 8 LPA Job Promise:â They assured an 8 LPA fresher job post-course. However, most opportunities in their portal offer 3-4 LPA, not the promised 8 LPA.
3ď¸âŁ Product-Based Companiesâ Placements:â They marketed the course as a pathway to top product-based companies. The reality? No substantial internship or fresher job support.
4ď¸âŁ Refund Guarantee:â I signed an agreement stating Iâd get a refund if not placed within 21 months. Now that Iâm eligible for a refund, theyâve stopped answering my calls and are making endless excuses.
Impact on My Life:
I even quit my job to focus on this course, trusting their promises. It turned out to be a terrible decision, wasting my time, money, and effort. I feel trapped by their fraudulent practices.
Advice to Others:
For those considering this program, especially if you come from a non-tech background like me, proceed with caution. There are free, high-quality resources on YouTube like Akshay Saini đ that provide more value I watched his Namaste JavaScript series for interview preparation.
Call to Action:
As per the agreement, Iâm eligible for a refund and demanding accountability from Coding Ninjas. To my fellow batchmates facing similar issues, I encourage you to share your experiences in the comments. Letâs make our voices heard and hold them accountable for their promises. It feels like a marketing company instead of an edtech.
