My child is 1.5 year old and cannot go to office.should I leave the job or is there any other solution?

One option can be take your manager in confidence and come office just to swipe in/out. This is good option if you have tcs office nearby and commute time is less.
Moreover you can take 6 WFO exceptions that can be approved by your supervisor without any problem.

Child care will be approved only for less than one year as per rule.. But here are a few excuses u can try

  1. Tell ur single parent and spouse is not with u 2.Elderly Care 3.There is a section named Customer in Exception .. Get approval saying u work late due to customer calls so wfo is not possible with reason 1 and 2 added

It worked for female employees in my team give a try

It's not only TCS most of the companies provide child care exception till 1 year age of child . Post that it's purely based on their discretion.....

Creche etc are operating for such parents who want to continue working and have small child ...

Before corona everyone used to do same there was no concept of work from home that time
