My 3-Month Notice Period Struggle: Rejections, Delays & Lessons Learned
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my notice period experience so far.
I have 2.7 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer. I received an offer from Accenture on December 5, 2024, but they offered me a Mumbai location with a 21% variable pay. Since I preferred Hyderabad, I requested a location change, and they assured me it would be done in two weeks. Based on that, I resigned and started my notice period.
During this time, I interviewed with several companies:
-
Accellor – Cleared one tech round but struggled with business-related client questions in the second round, leading to rejection.
-
Infosys – Cleared one virtual tech round and then F2F tech & managerial rounds. They told me they'd release an offer in two weeks, but today, they called and said the business didn’t approve it, effectively wasting my time and effort.
-
Accenture – After months of waiting, they finally responded but said a Hyderabad location is no longer possible.
I was confident in my skills, but despite multiple interviews, I struggled to land an offer. This three-month period has been disappointing, but I’m taking it as a learning experience.
Moving forward, I’ll be grinding LeetCode and working on Salesforce certifications to improve my skills.
Just wanted to share my journey—hopefully, it helps others in a similar situation.

How many days, did you served np before taking it back?
Are you facing any issue because of that like change in behaviors or other stuffs?
-
I served around 2 months , because I was on bench and HR asked me to a take an early release so I thought it’s better to take back my resignation.
-
Since I am on bench still , I haven’t faced any problems yet . Have to see what happens to my appraisal though…

Someone has misused earlier. This is the result of that. Actual needy people are going to impact due to some greedy people. Many members are not happy although they got 10 lpa or 20 lpa packages If someone has got 20 lpa packages ,thinking about how we can reach 25 lpa, thus taking a counter offer and running away when it's time to join.

Grind! Grind! Grind!
