What are you investing in and why

Me: Salary 30k Savings 5k-10k FDs & post office schemes: around 7% interest

New to mutual funds Tell me which one is good .

Use that money to buy LC premium, grind for a month and get a 80k-1lpm job as a start.

Then 5k investment won't lead you anywhere. Think big :)

Since you are young, just invest in Equity majorly, and Gold funds (70:30). Equity would give you assured long term gains unless something catastrophic happens in the next 15-20 years and Gold funds would always give a decent return no matter what the market situation is. After you start earning more and age, try to limit equity to 50 percent or less, and invest more in debt funds. For utilities such as buying a Car, don't invest in Equity, a RD would be much better
