If your are new to Mumbai then marines and bandra band stand, Carter road, juhu, Girgaon chopatty etc. Places in south Bombay are good to explore and once you settle down then you can go to far places like Lonavla and all.
Thanks for the suggestion. I've visited Marine Drive and Juhu Beach and will cover Bandra soon. Is it worth going to Lonavala in December?

Nearby mumbai you could go to lonavla, Imagica, della adv, matheran. These are pune side. If you wish to go nashik side then igatpuri, randha falls, sandhan valley, sula, mtdc boat club etc. are good
Please go to Bandra west and Juhu. Just walk around the famous roads and the little roads around them. Take in the feels of Mumbai
