Mumbai to Jaipur: Is this a wise decision?

My wife and I in the late 20s are thinking of shifting to Jaipur from Mumbai since that is our native place. I am a CA working in a private bank headquarters WFO 5 days a week while my wife is a software engineer working remotely.

I have worked with EY earlier for 4Y and have considerable bank consulting exposure dealing with top executives of banks.

I am afraid that I will lose all the HO and strategic exposure and will be confined to some regional office role if I plan to move there.

I'm not sure if I will get a good raise or even my existing CTC if I move there.

Is this a wise call?
