Moving to Ireland in the current market - Help

I got an offer at Trinity College Dublin for the Msc course in computational engineering which has only around only 30 seats, so I believe that is relatively a competitive course. But the problem is that I have a job at Accenture India everything is good am working in my choice of ML and Gen AI type of projects here, only problem is the pay is very low, no promotion even after 2 years.

So in next few days I have to decide which path I need to choose. I want a view from you guys which is the better option. Is the job Market good and safe for a Non EU Indian like me in Ireland? or is it bad there?

Any views will be highly appreciated ! Thanks in advance

My suggestion is still that you move out. You will have to work hard and get a job there but that is the only way to grow considering you haven't got a hike in two years

I was in the same boat as you @AwesomeHood6, I should have moved to Ireland last year with my school friend but now I realise I did not move out this is the stuff which my friend told me over the call:

  1. Rents are super high like (starting 50000 Rs/month) and I guess trinity college fees would be high think about the financial.
  2. You have to manage every fucking thing right from you wake up like cooking, washing vessels, washing bathroom, assignments, preparing for some kind of certifications (optional) and PART-TIME (if you manage to get it).... just read this point again as a human how much load can you handle ?
  3. I know work life balance is not good in India but it would be a huge downgrade from your position and you are blessed to be working related to ML and Gen AI kinda projects use LLMs or buy a course and try to get a better job.
  4. Finally my friend mentioned that he was getting calls from companies but they never called him back since he was on post study work permit and very less companies are willing to sponsor he himself asked me not to come if you are earning more than 12+ LPA in India, even if you are not earning 12+ LPA just think about effort required to get a 12+LPA job in India vs point 2.

Sorry I am not demotivating you even I want to leave out but the situation is messed up I have college and school friends who are asking me not to move out of India anytime soon there's lot of uncertainity across the globe, please reply or DM me if you have more questions..

Hi @fsociety thanks a lot for this input, I am thinking about postponing the course by 1 year if possible. The market scenario is really messed up right now.🥲🥲
