Moving to Blr

Hi guys I'm moving to banglore for a new role as a senior software Engineer. What is the best option for staying there?

the office location is around kormangla/hsr layout I'm single only and know no one in blr. the reviews of most co-living PGs are not so good. also around what radius from office should be the ideal stay given its 5 days wfo. whats the water situation in these areas?

Pls help guys im really confused. help me with some references.

Stay in a good PG for 2-3 months and then shift to flat after finding some people you might get to know during this time period or other ways.

No issues with water as of now but can expect next summer again so while finding flats, enquire if they have water harvesting pits or not. You might find them mostly in certain gated communities but they can get very pricey.

Highly recommend doing this. Searching a good house takes time here.

If 5 day wfo, try to find an accomodation within 2kms radius. If you are willing to pay a premium there are some more expensive PGs which would provide comfort as well. Once settled in the new role and city, you can search for flats

how much premium is ideal?

If you are looking for a private room it could cost you 25-30k

Move here, live in a PG for a month maybe 2. Find a good house that has a balance between morning commute time and facilities.

Don't jump the gun, vacating and then finding a house is expensive in Bangalore.

Check out this disruptive way of living I just came across on Twitter. Loved how beautiful their homes are & how easy it is to find a home now in BLR!!

PGs are too expensive in Bangalore. you can find some cheap options but belive me they are not worth it. 3/2/1 sharing price is 8k/15k/25k for the cheap once. you can rather find a 1 bhk flat for 15-20k. and combined all your expenses will be 25-30k a month.
I guess you can easily afford 30k. Also I will prefer kormangla over HSR. because everything is nearby in kormangla from market to pubs to Dmart everything is within 2-3km radius.
HSR is relatively expensive and everything will be closed after 10pm. Its feel like living in a ghost city in the night.

For initial days/months stay in a pg, do apartment hunting that period you might find 20 - 25k/month

I'll suggest going for studio apartments. They're comparatively good gonna charge 15k - 20k/month & for security deposit try to negotiate.
