Moving to Bangalore — need help shortlisting localities
Hi folks 👋
I’m currently based in Mumbai and planning a move to Bangalore in the coming months. My wife’s office will be around Kadubeesanahalli, and I will be in Yelahanka.
We’re trying to figure out good areas to live long-term. Looking for apartment-style living in a calm, green neighbourhood, with a reasonable and predictable daily commute (we have a car and a two-wheeler). Not really looking for nightlife or social hotspots.
Would really appreciate suggestions from folks who’ve lived through something similar 🙏

This is like you working at Malad and spouse working at Titwala.
Even if you find a midpoint like Indira nagar, each will still have to travel 1 hour one-way.

Get in central area like Indiranagar and nearby for quality of life. Kadubeesanahalli and nearby are all dusty areas but north crowd lives there so easier to find a north Indian cook. But I works suggest Indiranagar

dono office toh bahut far away hogye, does anyone have wfh between you too? Otherwise the commute alone will make you miss mumbai roz

Check on nobroker, it shows all rental properties on the map. It's difficult to get a place which is convenient for both of you. Based on no of WFO days you can decide the place which is suitable to both of you or one of you.
Yelahanka
Outskirts of Bangalore
Maybe clean
Maybe less traffic
Maybe more open areas and parks
Less or moderate rental prices
Residential area
Kadubeesanahalli
In between all IT companies.
Wouldn't suggest looking anywhere near it
Too much traffic
Always crowded
Unclean, more pollution
High rental prices
I'm not suggesting any areas as i don't want to reduce your options in looking for a place which you like, look on nobroker and based on your likes you can decide.
I would also suggest checking for cab facilities provided by both your companies, The only problem is you have to wake up early and you will be at home early. You will have no other worries. Even if either of you are travelling by own vehicle, you will have to start early or you will be stuck in traffic for 1-2 hours for one way commute
Both areas don't have metro connectivity

Thanks
Will do this
Wherever you go it's the same. Bglr is an urban slum

OP is coming from Mumbai

Its far better than Mumbai, trust me. Thats the worst place to be at!

- Yelahanka New Town (has lot of parks)
- Kogilu cross (Sobha palm court Apartment) or nearby.
- Yelahanka Raitara Santhe.
- Nitte menakshi road (near to newly opened Amazon office )
Blue line metro on the way for 2 and 3, may be end of 2027 which will have direct connectivity to Kadubisanahalli.

Hebbal or Indira Nagar. You have to decide who is going to travel more.

Indira Nagar , KR Puram , Kalyan Nagar .. you can try this places .

Thanks Just checked these online and seem reasonable
