Moving to Bangalore in 2 weeks

Hi guys, I'll be moving to BLR from Delhi for work. For people who moved to blr, how did you guys plan the initial few days out ?

I am confused if I should look up a PG before moving or stay at a hotel for the initial few days and then look ?

Ps-I'll be moving alone

I would suggest stay with a friend for a few days and search for a flat, if any in blr, else get a hotel for 5-7 days, like Treebo which costs 2k per night, and search a good serviced apartment/hostel/coliving space, stay there for a month or 2, while searching for flats, dont get a PG within a day, might get stuck into some bad one.

Yes i am planning to get a hotel/airbnb since my friends live far away from my workplace. Is it difficult to get good PGs there wrt food and cleanliness ?

Yeah most PGs arent that great, should check them thoroughly, ask people who live there, and blr faces constant power outages, so best confirm that too.

Get an Airbnb, stay there for a while. A good host might also be able to help point you in the right direction.

Yes this is what I've been thinking. The PG experience online makes me worried :P

When I initially moved, I stayed in a hotel for the first few days, before moving into a 1BHK property owned by the managed-apartment company Housr on a 3-month lease.

During the 3 months, I became familiar with the local area and talked to local landlords, and finally rented my own 2BHK apartment on an 11-month lease.

Stay at hotel for a week near your offc and then find a pg near your offc daily after office. If you are lucky you may get a pg in a day or two then move to pg.
