Moving to Bangalore from Delhi
I am planning to move to Bangalore in April second week along with my wife(she will not be working initially). My new office would be in RMZ ecoworld and I am looking for a place to rent within a 12 km radius to avoid travelling time as I have to be in the office thrice a week. From the initial research that I did, I found that renting is really expensive and it's difficult to get a decent 1bhk under 25k and a decent 2bhk under 35k. I have been living in Delhi on a rented 3bhk flat with my wife costing me just 23k in a okayish builder flat society.
I need help on a few things here:
- Which areas would be well suited and safe based on my work location and travel requirements ?
- Would it be a good option to get a furnished flat or should I rent the furniture/electronics from apps like furlenco?
- Rental Security seems to be a real pain in Bangalore, Are owners comfortable with apps like Circlepe? Do they give back the whole security deposit when you leave?
Any others tips and tricks for my smooth transition in Bangalore will be appreciated.

Buy a tent from decathlon

Ban gaya/gayi cool, Ab nikal le

Bellandur, Iblur specifically green glen layout

Wont recommend furlenco. Get unfurnished, buy stuff and if you leave you can sell them easily

Thanks for the response, can you also help me with any society names? I did a quick search on 99 acres and there aren't many flat under my budget (33k). My priority is to find a 1bhk in gated society
Check green Glen layout but it's a little expensive you will get a decent 2bhk around 38k, for a little cheaper check Ambalipura there you will get a decent 2bhk around 30-35k. Both of these areas are good and close to ecoworld :)

Thanks a lot ๐

Try to stay within 5-6 km, 12 km will be too much and you will start feeling the pain after 3-4 months. Changing houses in Bangalore is like winning a long running battle. Owners in big builders don't come down on deposits, for eg. 40k rent, 4L deposit I have seen non negotiable and 40k rent, few may agree for 1.5-2L deposit and one month deposit will go on name of painting house + by default few more bla bla charges. You will see the other side of the owner when you leave. So take decisions accordingly.

Hi you should try to live near Sarjapur side if you want good flats. But they will cost you, something like 45k for a 2bhk. You can also look at apartments nesr Bellandur.
Remember that blr rentals have exploded after covid and you budget would be expanded, so be prepared
Also 12kms in blr is tooo much. Look for something under 5km would be my advise.

Thanks, can you also suggest some places for a 1bhk? I am fine with a 1bhk gated society as well

Just cross check with fellow bangloreans before you decide to travel 12kms a day.. Or at least try once.
PS - I am not from Bangalore, but been there a few times, itโs tough to commute there man.

Either stay within 1 km radius of your office (comes with higher rental expense, but saves a lot of time n effort), else, stay far. This way you can save some amount and/or get a good posh society to live in, which can prove your move to bluru beneficial. Don't decide any mid way (anything between 10-20 kms is far only considering kr pura and bellundur traffic). Bluru traffic conditions around the outer ring road is a big disaster my friend - hence my piece of advice to take a wise call initially than regret later..

Thanks for the comprehensive response, I will search accordingly

Live in any prestige society

You should work only in Delhi
