6moMoving from FAANG to JP Morgan – any real benefits?
Curious to know if anyone has switched from a FAANG company to JP Morgan (or similar BFSI firms). With tech layoffs around, banks seem more secure—but do they really match FAANG packages, or is it mostly a trade-off of lower comp for higher stability? If you’ve made the move, how’s the work culture, growth, and long-term career value compared to FAANG? Would love to hear real experiences.

I have not switched but I would not recommend doing that. I was working in a US financial services company and the work was plain dumb. These companies have a lot of old times and they make the work even bad. I won't recommend doing that at all. You have the skills to be in Microsoft, even if laid off, you will be able find something better.
