Move from 29 LPA (Service) to 25 LPA (Product) – Worth It?
Need some guidance on a decision. Currently working at Zensar – 29 LPA (Azure DevOps / Cloud role). Joined recently, had a short allocation (15 days), then bench, and now temporary allocation till month-end. Client onboarding is still not confirmed. Manager says profile shared, waiting for client update. Now I have an opportunity from Odessa (product-based company) at 25 LPA + joining bonus, 5 days WFO, rotational shifts. They say no bench model and stable product work. Confused about: • Is it okay to drop from 29 to 25 LPA for product exposure and stability? • How risky is bench in service companies long term? • Does product experience add more value in 2–3 years compared to service role? • Is salary difference worth worrying about at this stage? Looking for honest suggestions from people who have moved from service to product. Thanks in advance.
