Mouse jiggler
My question is about not having enough productive work during the day. This leaves with less choice but act like working by moving the mouse after few minutes to avoid being shown as inactive.
My question is related to the ethical dilemma around this.
Do you guys feel guilty of not doing enough when you do this.
What else can be done?

Do what? My role doesn't has enough to keep me occupied for full day. Hardly 2 hrs and I am good.
I can work on personal projects, but IT environment is too restrictive.
I can ask my manager for more work, but the quality of work that I anticipate coming my way keeps me restrained.
I know environment is too restrictive but you can use online tools and environments for learning and upskilling
Nope.. always enjoyed doing the bare minimum and getting away with it. Still coasting after 18 years in IT.
