Most of the Manager and Delivery Managers in TCS are useless with no skills
I wonder how these people without any certifications are working as Manager and Delivery Managers.
Managers never involve in any project calls, and are there just to forward the RTO mandate mails to team and do micro managing.
Delivery managers only involve when serious escalations are sent by client. One such Incident happened in my last project where client escalated concerns and asked to stop working on the project 6 months after it was started and then delivery manager called me know exactly what work the team is doing.
The first time I saw my manager, I thought he was some office boy but later came to know that he is a manager.
He lacks any technological aspects and is only found discussing political party discussions.
These guys never want to leave and do not want anyone to take their place. One of my female colleague was scolded for selection her aspiration role as Project Manager as part of Xcelerate/Wings2 as the manager was scared that she may be a competition for him.
Literally sucks to be under such people who play politics at appraisal time and deprive the hard working people off good rating and hike's

Bhai this is true n I have also seen this infact in my project I m facing same thing. But better let's find our way out of here else we also star become like them. Inke baare mein jada socho hi mat best focus on ourselves and upskill n move out asap. I am also doing same trying my best to get out already resigned and interviewing.

Sadly companies specializing in my domain are few and I never want to go back to any of my previous employers because of the level of politics that exists there.
