I don't know how marriage can stop men from their goals. I have seen only women until now. Regardless, I've seen men who have specially abled children and yet managing whole company.
If you have a healthy family, rest all is in your hands, your decisions... except the uncontrollable parts, remaining things like convincing family, managing time and dealing with stress.

25 male, married to a beautiful girl. We both work relentlessly to improve ourselves and make our lives a little better than yesterday.

I don't think marriage is the issue.
You need to have a proper plan. Aimless wondering doesn't help anyone.

Being married doesn't mean that you need to have kids asap, it doesn't mean that you need to shoulder responsibilities asap.

You can take your time and make your life a little better.

I had a recurring dream about a girl and that got disrupted after she stopped playing tennis. I used to get that dream right before waking up.

It remained an unfulfilled dream.

She stopped playing tennis, because she got stabbed.

But my wife didn't stab her....I can't blame her for my unfilled dream.
