Most epic Rapido ride
Had the most epic Rapido ride ever.
I had to go to Ahmedabad railway station to catch my train to Pune.
There is an endless construction work going on at the station because of which most of the auto and cab drivers cancel your ride.
Same happened with me. They accepted, called to ask, where to, as i tell them station, they would say not coming and cancel.
So i had to book a Rapido bike. Also i didn’t have any luggage on me.
This guy comes on a scooty, something like a Dio, speaks with utmost decency in a deep voice. Offers me to put my backpack in the front and then starts why he took this bike, since he has a dog.
That was the beginning of a very epic conversation, since I am a dog lover myself.
One thing led to the other, he mentions her works as a Sales manager at B**aj health, and does Rapido rides in the evenings after work (happy now mr. Murthy ?)
I told him we are hiding in sales team, he asked what’s the budget. I told him its around 7-8 LPA. He says he is currently drawing 16 and looking for atleast 30% jump.
Apart from dogs, our interests matched in coffee and comedy. He watches live comedy every week. Just last week he watched Ravi Gupta and before that Bassi.
Now, we are connected on Linkedin, he has shared his CV and I am forwarding it to a different Business unit that is looking for senior folks and will hopefully meet for a comedy show as well, who knows ? 😃

I had a different experience, rapido guy told me he is team lead at TCS and doing this as his mother medical condition and having too much medical expenses on him, he managed to convince me on medical conditions and in the evening he called me as due to his son of 3 yrs old also has been admitted and asked me to help him as cashless facility not available at hospital and will return money next day, I helped because of his small baby medical condition and transferred through gpay, but he never returned my money that I landed to him and after asking TCS one of friend of friend, no person name of him is working at TCS vadodara, then I realised he was fraud person and I forgot that money 25k after that.
I try to not to speak other than the route details. Because whenever I talk with them, be it a Rapido captain or an Auto driver they often ask for more money than the actual fair.
Yeah , interesting times
Now rapido is earning more when they started tie up with swiggy, zomato. But they don't have fixed salary
