Most absurd hustle culture task you guys have done?

I am just so done with this place. I need to vent.

I was hired as a backend dev. My JD was clear. Writing APIs. Managing databases. Normal tech stuff. Guess what I was doing last night at 11 PM? Packing cardboard boxes in a dusty warehouse. Not even joking.

Our ops team messed up some priority shipments. Instead of fixing the actual root cause the founder drops a message on slack about "customer obsession" and "all hands on deck". Next thing I know half the engineering team is literally taping boxes.

It was absolutely ridiculous. I have a critical production bug pending. My sprint is already spilling over. But no. Taping boxes is the priority because we are all "owners" here. One junior dev was even asked to manually deliver a package on his bike on his way back to his PG because it was on his route.

They call it wearing multiple hats. Bhai this is not a hat. You didn't plan your logistics properly and now tech folks are doing manual labor.

The most toxic part? Some people were actually taking selfies while packing. Posting it on the general channel like it's some massive achievement. This whole hustle mindset is an actual disease.

I am updating my resume today. What is the most absurd task you guys have been forced to do in the name of hustle?

Ask for overpay for yesterday's work.

I wish we had a good judicial system in this country.

Bhai I wish lol. Nowhere near 30. Getting standard startup pay to do free manual labor at this point.
