Less than one week of joining date and bgv still in progress(2+ weeks). No update on the tentative joining date or initiation of onboarding processes. Is this normal? What should I expect

Infosys Onboarding delayed due to bgv

Help me with this. My DOJ at Infosys is Dec 12 but due to bgv not initiated my DOJ is 19 DEC and now my bgv is initiated and not sure if I would get onboarding mail in time if not my DOJ will be further delayed.
