Monthly one day leave

In my team, the manager strictly said that don't take unnecessary leave unless it's necessary and that it's only one day. Anyone facing this issue

This is are all rubbish , managers never want their employees to be on leave. So be chilled and take sudden unplanned leaves instead of letting them know priorily.
