Monthly expense in bangalore

How much are your monthly expenses in Bangalore?

Since mine is between 25-30k, I wanted to do a sense check to see where the general trend lies.

If you can bifurcate it between rent , food/groceries,commute that will be cherry on top

My expenses

18k rent including maintenance 4.5 k maid + cook 5k groceries+ food + weekend outings 1.5-2k commute

25-30k is normal. Anything less than 15k is not possible unless living a pathetic life.
Pathetic means eating pg low quality food, living 3-4 or above seater pg room

From my POV, You don't need to be pathetic, you just need to be Frugal and mind of your expenses and keep track of it. Mostly 10 mins a day or 30 mins every week during weekend

I usually track my expense. below are my expenses every month:

Fixed expense: Rent - 5.5K (11K for 1 BHK - 2 person sharing, including maintenance) Travel - 1200 ( to and fro bangalore one time a month) Groceries and Dept items - 1200 ( Self cooking ) Milk - 700 Water - 50 Wifi - 700 ( claimable) No eb bill No commute (using my cycle to travel 10kms to and fro office twice a week - hybrid mode)

Variable expenses: Miscellaneous - 1000 Outing + outside food during weekdays - 4500 Other purchases like buying shirts or pants - 2000

Total - around 16K max

Lol my situation sucks I have a pg and a flat too for including both I pay an around 35k
