Money Advice : Hard Earned Lesson
For big money decisions, extreme caution is crucial. Whether it's taking a loan. These days there is an MLM network running all over India and mere people like me are getting looted. There is a friend of mine who came up to me one fine day and said there is a brilliant business idea so partner up with me as "he trusts me". And he said "it's a brilliant idea and I work with NITians and IITians". They left their job by doing this business and are earning heavily. As he is my friend( from childhood) I trusted him and so I asked his advice how have you gotten the money to invest? And he said he took a loan and told me he has repaid it in 8 months after entering into this business. So I took a personal loan trusting him and got looted off as I didn't know it was an MLM thing then. So, I advise against entrusting financial matters to acquaintances or friends. Trust only your parents specifically your father can give you the best advice.

MLM is Multi Level Marketing where you are paid if you get a person into a business. Let's say you have invested 6 L and you come into the business, your friend is going to benefit from it. It's like a chain where the particular parent nodes are going to get benefitted from this scam. The more ppl you scam the more rich you are going to get. Do search QNet and you will see ppl getting scammed all over. This is a trend going on in metropolitan cities.

Sab chutiyapa hai mere mother ke bhi paise dube the jabardasti chap dete log aise buisness jast because inka paise fase hote hai aise logo ko gaaliya deke bhaga dene me bhalai hai ger ek bar me nhi mante hai

I practice DTA: Don't trust anybody

Amen.

Especially if it is going to lead to a debit transaction in my account even when it's very temporary

I have heard such scams back in 2018 when I graduated. Few people from my college got involved in such scams. During college days, we never spoke. Suddenly I got a call. He talked very nicely. He told he started new business and was earning high. He also became socially active and posted vacation pics from foreign trips on social media. These are all traps to engage people and make them take loan and such people will engage other people to take loan. In this chain reaction only the person at the top gets benefitted. Other people earn very less.

Yes it's true they project lavish lifestyle to Lure ppl into the business and the fun part is they are using iit and nit tags to do so.

This MLM chutiyapa comes in new form in every 3-4 hours... Have been seeing it since 2012.

Everything is fine, but why do you assume fathers know better financially? In most households, it's the mother who saves up for the kids and provides in times of need. As a thumb rule, never trust any friend/ acquaintance or even relatives/siblings in money related matters.

It's not a gender bias I am against it, but fathers' POV is different they can sense hindsight. Particularly my father is a guru to me in the financial knowledge and he can make the best financial decision where the money needs to be invested or saves

Arre bro qnet is old scam, you should have researched it

Hmm I missed it due to lack of awareness also I hv trusted my friend

Honestly, research wouldn’t have helped much. His friend would’ve just convinced him that all those negative reviews were written by competitors or haters. These guys are extremely manipulative, ruthless, immoral, and they know exactly how to trap people.

I had experienced a similar situation - my college friend set up a meeting with these so called IITians at a cafe, they bragged about their lifestyle, money they make, forgien trips etc. Asked me questions about how would I survive if I experience a medical emergency, job loss etc. to create a fear.
I found it very weird in the first 20 min itself and ended up getting into an argument with them. And left the place. I felt betrayed after this.
Be careful, when someone says there is business idea unless they is a clear product or a service

Dude what is this MLM..? Can you elaborate more so that people will not get confused

Basically what happens in MLM ( Multi level Marketing ) is that you will get a phone call from your known friends or you know that guy whom you lost touch. He will start bridging with you to ice break and eventually get in touch with you out of nowhere. Basically in hindsight what happens is there goes a plan where a grp of ppl are involved to trap you into a business model where he/she guarantees you a lavish lifestyle is possible with this business. You can search QNet this is a famous MLM thing where ppl are getting looted from cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore

bhi bhot ki bade wwale ho tum, ye sab jab 2011 se chal raha h, aur tumhe ab pta chal raha h

Hmm lack of awareness made me get into this also I wanted to just spread awareness thaaki others don't get into this scam. And also abhi logonko utna awareness nahi hei iske baare mei "GenZ" so wanted to just give a headsup

If it’s qnet, you can get your money refunded by contacting their customer care. 95% will be refunded if you contact them before 1month

But that won't be mentioned right by any of them. My friend hasn't mentioned it and it's been 6 months so it's a tight slap on to my face to never trust ppl

If it’s really qnet, If you are not active and they cheated you, you can still explain qnet this and ask for refund. Write a detailed email explaining how they trapped you.. it’s people who does wrong things, qnet as a company does not encourage misleading people and joining. I strongly feel you still have a chance to get your money back.. nothing wrong in trying..
