ML Engineer | 2 YOE | 9LPA | Expected salary?
What should be negotiable salary in the current market for ML engineer? I am from 3rd generation IIT and have worked in MLOps + research publications. Am I paid less or what should be the expected salary range? Any suggestions
Current TC : 9 (Fixed)
Seems less for 2 YOE. Should be 12-16L range on your next switch
Manager promised for a raise 3-4 times and I didn't ask any raise those times. Recently, IIIT grad with 0 experience is hired for same project wherein i jointly work with him to develop a product. He has been given 15LPA and I know the experience he brings. I have asked for a raise for 12 LPA. Manager told me to work or leave. So I resigned.
Good decision tbh, you didn't let them exploit you. Try using your IIT network to get some referral or DM people on LinkedIn. The market is pretty tough rn
Underpaid. Swicth over ASAP. Min hike you should jump for should be 16lpa.. with 5 yrs of exp you should be earning atleast 40lpa.. any delay now your earnings will be restricted.
I left the company after that and actively looking for opportunities. Everything happened within 2 days and he was telling me that I am not working extratime like 8:30-10 in morning and 6-8 in evening during weekdays and in weekends sat and Sun as well. Eventhough i work, i couldn't save more than 1.5L for entire year in hyderabad with that money. So I took a decision to leave after considering this as well.
