Trending @Cognizant; Mistake in PF acoount

I joined cts in 2021 before that I had employment with one company back in 2019 for 15 days, that company didn’t added my exit date for PF. Since 2021 cts also didn’t objected anything but now when I am on bench they emailed me show cause email stating that I violated the employment rules of the company. They stated that give explanation within 7 days else I have face consequences.

Even there is no overlap of employment within dates and no amount was added by that employer.

Please suggest what should I do in such case.

Please go to your old Employer and you can submit Joint Declaration in respective old employers EPFO Office for the same. Even if there is no contribution....You should have Joining Date and Exit Date in EPFO.

You mean I should submit a joint declaration stating that I worked but after this date there was no involvement with that company and previous employer also agrees to that?

Please talk to Payroll HR for the Company where you worked for 15 days

Please reach out to your old employer and ask them to mark your end date (most unlikely this thing they will agree to do so) if not then visit the EPFO office and seek for help in this matter. You need to just stay longer there and ask to change the date even if they bug you away with some form or any info.

In this case you need to be apologetic and find a reasonable reply to that mail will be way out of this situation.
