[Mini Rant] Feature Request: Block posts by keywords

Yaar fir wahi, subah subah sex sux ki bate. Thak gaya hu vro, logo ki hawas dekh dekh ke on Grapevine. Ye hi hai India ki professionals ki community?

Half my thread is filled with GF banani hai, how to find a husband, best dating app, date ideas, etc. Bhai Quora/Insta aage se left mein hai, waha post daalo. Yaha mat raita failao yaar.

So many people are losing jobs/trying to switch from toxic workplaces. Many are struggling, funking depressed and posts of people who genuinely need help get down on the list due to upvotes on such useless stuff. Audience hi tharki hai. I'm too guilty of this tbh.

Grapevine team seriously needs to evaluate the usecase of the app and demographics of the audience they want to serve. Else it will end up like clubhouse, where people just shoot their bhatoore.

For the average age of Grapevine users (I'm guessing it should be 23-28), this community is still matured in the way it posts and responds. There will obviously be people who prioritise the things you've mentioned in this age since they want validation. I still feel the ratio is only about 1 posts out of 10 and it's still okay. Just a phase.

One way how Grapevine Team can get this addressed is to come up with Grapevine Jobs as a separate menu (not a topic/community) like how Salaries appear at the bottom. Anyone posting a job opening and anyone seeking a job/laid off should be able to post there. A/B test the impact and roll it out as a permanent feature with a share option. Pretty sure a lot of folks out here will get benefited.

Here I'm collecting data to build something for guys and gals get married from Grapevine, and you want to block them.

I agree, people are struggling in many ways and still not talking more about it (which I am guilty, trying to cover up fckd life with humour), but all of it is the essence na.

Makes grapevine it is.

Imagine you check every morning people only talking about not finding jobs, while other flaunting 100 crore package in every post, you will be writing the next sad post here.

Oh mini rant ho gaya 🤭🤭

TLDR no blocks please šŸ™ peace

That goes on to say how much this area is a part of life. Humans are social animals and they need the touch of another human.

That's the exact kind of content I am hoping to see on GV. How do I filter for that?

Grapevine ad on reddit

Just saw an ad for Grapevine on Reddit. Always thought of Grapevine as the Reddit for Indian working professionals. Isn't it ironic that they're advertising here? Makes you wonder if Reddit will start advertising on Grapevine next! šŸ˜†
