
Mind vs Brain? Same or Different
Is Mind or brain the same thing ? I noticed people use it interchangeably but just curious about it if they actually are same or have any difference.

For example, a person who gets brain damage from stroke or accident, and goes into a coma state, they still have a brain inside their skull, but because it got severely damaged, they no longer have a functioning conscious mind. So they are in a mindless vegetative state. The unconscious activities driven by their brain, such as breathing and heat beats, still continue in that mindless state. Hope that clears up the distinction.
Colloquially "brain" is also used as a synonym for intelligence. So calling someone "brainless" or "he's got no brains", just means to imply that they have low intelligence.
Also we use heart, but all it does is pump blood.

Brain is physical, mind is something functional
