I lived in Mumbai(married) at 80k/month, and still led a decent life. I stayed at Thane(GB road) in a spacious(950 sq. ft. 2BHK apartment with balcony). This is back in 2017, with 16K rent(stayed at Lodha).
Extensively used Zomato Gold(1 plus 1). Went to movies(Utilised Diners 1 plus 1), still managed to save 50% of my salary.

Oh nice. But I think 2017 would be much cheaper as compared to today

True…. But there would still be people living with similar amount of salary. I think in general, you either save money or time(doing both is near impossible), almost in all cities.
