Middleware solutions

I have got my offer from EY GDS and they have added me in middleware solutions team as I can see in my profile. Can you please tell me what it means and how’re the projects in there?

Middleware projects are mainly enhancement/ support/ operational engagement. You can expect migration, enabling new communication between two homo or heterogeneous systems, managing change request to existing system or supporting / monitoring live transaction system and fix for configuration or technical issues in platform infrastructure.
