Trending @Accenture; Middleware -> Devops

I joined Accenture as a fresher and currently working in Middleware. I want to switch to Devops, as this is not what I wanted when I got hired. When I told my manager, he said no. And unless and until I've another project waiting to take me, he won't give me release as well. Currently working for 4 clients.. losing my mind as well. Any suggestions or help please?
