There was a time when people would not share or lie about their net worths, like outrageously low ball the number.

I liked that time and I think I still belong that school of thought.

maybe because more people now have accumulated wealth in legitimate way, hence no fear or need to hide. earlier generation primarily accumulated wealth through shady/illegal activities so they would've been wary of getting attention.

ias babu with 50cr won't ever acknowledge or 'showoff' while knowledge worker with even 5cr would own the fact.
