Trending @Cognizant; Microsoft Nuance Delta project
Cognizant is a cheater company as well as manipulative. They smartly played with the career of more than 1000 employees by manipulating the offer letter and restructuring the salary. Now, after the ramp down of the project, they are cutting salary by 25% to 30% and also in the name of redeployment they are asking to join the office and/or relocate.
The story dates back to July 2023 when Nuance (Subsidiary of Microsoft) transitioned their employees to Accenture and Cognizant. Accenture clubbed the salary as a fixed component whereas cognizant played smartly and changed them to variables as project specific payment putting the clause that this payment is subject to employees working in night shift and on Nuance project. Since, at that time, there was a bulk transition, people did not have the option to move in another company and they did not have the choice to select between Accenture or cognizant. Now they are refusing to pay that amount stating that it was a project specific payment.
Now the salary difference between the people in the same role and same package when compared to Accenture, cognizant employees will get around 15k to 18k less which is almost 25-30% of the salary.
Such a shitty and cheater company.

It is not mentioned anywhere in offer letter to pay beyond 1st year of tenure completion. There was only a mail assuring the continuity of this special payment if one remains on Nuance project in night shift. So, after losing MSFT Nuance Delta project, no such payment should be expected at all.
I can confirm this as i am also part of this project. This is 100% true. Every single line is correct. I have never seen something like this in the corporate world. Atleast someone has the spine to write out these things.
Even the worst part is they are asking for wfo or relocate to Hyderabad Chennai kochi any where it is impossible for 99.99% people and while hiring they informed job will complete wfh
