In my current project, I invest considerable time and effort each day, striving to meet project requirements and deadlines. However, despite consistently providing detailed updates on my progress and any encountered challenges, I find myself subjected to micromanagement from my manager. Each day, I diligently compile and send an end-of-day email outlining the tasks completed and the status of ongoing work. Despite these efforts, I feel undervalued and unappreciated, as my manager continues to question the validity of my work and demands further justification. This constant oversight creates an atmosphere of distrust and impedes productivity. Moreover, it has taken a toll on my well-being, leaving me feeling drained and burnt out. I am seeking guidance on how best to address this issue and improve our working relationship. I'm open to any and all suggestions guys, so please do help out a fellow colleague!

Recently I also got a chance to manage 5-6 resources and what I observed is that if you justify your task and then the time which you spend on that task then nobody micro monitors you.

This is there throughout, I experienced this in 1st month of my joining right working for 2nd client .I am explained the requirements in 10min with sample imaginary data at 4pm and asked exact required hours to complete analysis with reporting without even sharing the data . When I said two working days my manager said how long would it take this is not much without even having the data handy made me work on Saturday noon while sharing the screen in the pretext of saying he wants to upskill . I started scheduling OOO for weekends after couple of calls from team members asking to join call and rescheduling it or not joining the call at all .

Ya this exists in my project too. We'll get calls even if we are offline for a minute

Micro management is existing here, i am also feel that daily basis. They are counting my daily screening time. Working on 2nd shift US timing but they not giving me allowance(only upper level person getting like. TL).

TL and manger not talking about any appreciation or any things, really not right place to work.

There is only one thing we can do, just learn & gain experience without expecting anything and leave this type of environment.

I am talking for my experience no one have solution for this type of problem you & others facing. Sometimes i asked directly to my manger for about my appreciation, bonus, rating, literally he is not replying my msg.

So, it’s better to ask solutions or try to solve this situation, leave this organisation…
