And by the way, theirs is not the only sales job. A consulting partner does sales every day of the week - most of them are extremely humble. You don't need to be an asshole to do sales
Even at my worst, I'd never engage with them. And definitely would never hire any one of them if they come to me
Btw this isn't a case of sour 🍇. I'm secure in my life and do not see myself engaging with them. Had spoken to couple of them back when I was a consultant
I agree. Even when they are desperate to close, they talk arrogantly. Have had a personal encounter where I was not happy with the offer and I was negotiating. The MP guy was browbeating me into accepting for 3 weeks. This was even when the client firm sounded accommodating and increased the offer by 25%.
Word of advice, keep recording calls of recruiters. Mostly whenever the placement doesn't happen, it is because the consultant acts too smart and miscommunicates.

I'm genuinely curious as to who should feel entitled and who shouldn't. In every field someone or the other will feel entitled about their job. It's difficult to expect everyone to be humble.
