Metros are lonely when you don't drink
It is Saturday evening and I am just sitting on my couch again. My coworkers are probably out at some loud brewery right now.
I gave up alcohol recently. It feels like Bangalore and NCR have zero infrastructure for sober socializing. You either spend thousands on overpriced mocktails at a crowded pub, or you just rot in bed.
Trying to figure out how to exist in this city without needing a hangover to socialize.

What about watching movies at cinema hall...If I do not get like minded company I go to cinemas and watch movies . You can't get bored if you are strong minded . There are lot of things to do apart from going out and drinking and partying . You can still go to random good coffee shops and can make friends with strangers and spend quality time . You need to understand the real meaning of friends in adulthood , they are just there to party and enjoying . Whenever you will need them they will not come , it's your friends from school/college/hometown who will always be with you during your bad time .

Thanks for the suggestions. I definitely need to start exploring more coffee shops on weekends. Your point about adulthood friendships is spot on too.

Why are you sitting out just because you aren't drinking. You can still go and eat food and talk. What the hell kinda mocktails are you getting that cost you thousands

Just a couple of drinks, taxes, and cover charges add up quickly at most pubs here. But honestly, it's more about the vibe. Being the only sober one in a loud brewery gets exhausting.

Yes you are Sagar

Travel a little bit locally & start playing cricket.

Btw to correct you neither Banglore nor NCR is metro city.
