Message event bus implementation

Hi all, Can some one describe the current implementations of message or events bus used in respective companies. Like is it configurable? Retry policy , also how wase of use like different use cases get satisfied by the current design . Also further insights on underlying tech used like Kafka, AWS event bridge. Any leads would be helpful
