Its important to understand that these are not perf related layoffs. Sure this is a good time for companies to shed dead weight, but that alone won't suffice for the budget targets they have to hit. Non critical projects, platform initiatives, QA, etc. get hit badly. Talented folks get impacted. Getting laid off / not in this environment is a matter of luck.

Meesho will be firing 251 employees this week. I have many batchmates in this org and have heard nothing but good about this company.
