Meesho 2022 vs 2024
Not trying to be a critic here, nor trying to tarnish the reputation. But just wondering why does employee friendly policies like these change so quickly?
Do investors and leaders get FOMO? Hey Amazon has called everyone to office so let's do it too. Or does the Work from anywhere policy was temporarily to attract good talent?
FYI, this remote policy was scrapped within 1 year of implementing it.

At least, speaking for Meesho - they started calling everyone to office hoping it will cause enough attrition. Boy, they were wrong. Market was so bad that people sucked up and moved.
Now they're mandating 3 days in office. We're yet to see the results.

They waste all the money on fancy offices and hire mediocre folks just due to tier 1 tag and then wonder where all that investor money went

Bro Meesho has really good people in business, tech and product.

Results speak for themselves. They are profitable now and have moved to a really beautiful office space. So as a business, it was a great decision

They are totally worthless. The manager promote the people who lick asses. I have seen this. One of my very knowledgeable friend didn't get promoted and inturn they promoted an ass licker in infra team

Things happen quicker at office. There are some folks with whom you've to schedule calls for the silliest of things, this gets straightened up too.
I've worked 3.5 years from home majorly, few days at office. Post switching is full time office and because everyone's at office, I see a better way of working together.

Not critiquing your comment here, what I stated could be the reason why Meesho has changed things. Considering they want to achieve profitability sooner.

everybody wants to ride the new thing in the market without much long-term thought

Work from anywhere is not employee friendly.
It is toxic for both employer and employee

Haha clearly a big mistake
