MBA/Non-MBA

How many of you here has an MBA from top universities?

Whenever I dig into PM roles at top tech companies at most 90% of them have MBA degrees.

only if you want a PM role at a FAANG level org right out of college. for everything else, no need.

Options are tricky for the question asked. What if someone is MBA but not from top universities. Also what exactly is criteria to call it a top university or not.

I have an MBA from a “Tier 1” university, but I don’t think MBA is needed for PMs roles at all. Now more so than ever.

2 SPMs in my team are non MBA but from very good Btech colleges

Non MBAs usually start with APM role, then gradually get promoted to PM. (In most of the cases)
