Maternity leave system updates and compliance

I am on maternity leave and I have been getting mails saying my system is not complaint as per security. Can I open my system and do the necessary updates or will it result in cancellation of my maternity leave due to opening the laptop?

Not needed...Recently I am back from maternity leaves...I was also getting the same mails...you can update the system once you resume the work
