I am writing on behalf of my friend . She want to extend her maternity leave due to health issues. Is anyone know the process?

Before her maternity leave end please try to drop and email to the hr stating her health issue and attach supporting medical documents from any gynaecologist and tell the hr that you want to avail special maternity leave(sml) which is leave of more 30 days As far as i know special maternity is payable leave but stil get confirmation from hr.
